CITIZEN ALUM AT APLU NATIONAL MEETING

Citizen Alum was featured in a November 12 session at the 2012 national meeting of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities, held in Denver.  The session theme was “Engaging Alumni in Service to Higher Education and Society.”

From the Program:

Public engagement is a strategy that can be used to expand alumni advocacy, volunteerism, and philanthropy at APLU institutions. During this session, participants will be introduced to the rapidly expanding, national initiative called Citizen Alum (CA) that focuses on engaging alumni as active participants with colleges and universities in addressing society’s most pressing needs. This interactive session will engage participants in a discussion about how institutional advancement might be reshaped to serve both campus and public agendas.
